Say Hello To The IPhone 4

The IPhone 4G had left everyone anticipating its arrival, and we have waited since launch to tell the real story. The Iphone 4g offers an excellent array of new features but it does have problems. Still even with its drawbacks this really is Apple's best IPhone to date.

First up will be the noticeable distinction, and that is its design. The IPhone 4g has departed from the previous IPhone design and styles and now sports super strong glass in the front and back of the phone with stainless steel surrounding its sides that generally works as the phones antenna. It looks fashionable and smooth but unfortunately the antennas design interferes with its purpose as it appears that merely holding the phone without any casing means you're more likely to interfere with the phones reception thus you get more dropped calls.

We tested this out and whilst it does seem to disrupt the phones reception somewhat, we had no dropped calls and no loss in signal quality in places with high reception, we did find trouble in areas where the signal was weak and that brought the antenna problems to the forefront as we compared another phone with the sprint carrier working just fine in comparison with no problems in reception.

Despite the antenna troubles however the phone has some wonderful new features. One of the best new features is the IPhone's display. It really is sharp, the colors are vivacious, and it feels like looking at a magazine. The display screen delivers the wow aspect.

The digital camera has been upgraded with a 5 megapixel camera has the hardware to record high definition video. The pictures and video created on the IPhone show a much higher level of quality compared to the previous IPhones. A front facing camera has also been added for "facetime" calling, and may also be utilized for uploading images or online video that you've recorded on the phone. Will this assist video calling take off? At the moment it only operates on WiFi, but the quality of the video calls are excellent, the fact is it's still a great feature to have on a phone.

Other improvements include improved battery life and the new Apple A4 processesor increases the Iphone 4's speed dramatically.

Operating on iOS4 adds multitasking, folders, IBooks, wallpaper and display screen orientation lock amongst other capabilities on the IPhone.

Generally speaking this is a major upgrade for the IPhone, and it's hard to admit but Apple's IPhone is still the best smartphone out there currently. If however you are worried about reception issues, it may be worth it to wait and allow Apple to solve the problem before you go out and get one.
